Advice Needed

So my Kaidyn Pooh is three weeks old and I want to get her ears pierced at six weeks. I discussed it with her pediatrician and she said she advise parents to wait until 6 months of age, reason being that babies don't get their tetanus shot until their 6 months and when you introduce metal into the body your at risk of getting tetanus. Do you ladies think I should wait until she is 6 months or should I do it at 6 weeks?

Agree with caffeinated_kate especially because at that age I'm fairly certain only a Pediatrician will do it.

@caffeinated_katie I wanted to wait but her father is saying otherwise. @mrs_shu If we was to do it I would have to bring her in the mall. I'm trying to talk him into agreeing with waiting.

I'd wait. I got my daughter's done at 6 months. We did it at her pediatrician's office. Always take the doctor's advice on these things. Its cosmetic, and she can wait to have it done.
