my baby girl wants to eat non stop****help****

Im breastfeeding, she 3wks old and wants to eat every hour. This just started yesterday, she was eating for 45 min every 3 hrs but now she wants to eat every hr. I know i'm producing enough because I still can pump and remove an oz. She gets mad at her pacifier because it doesn't have milk. What's going on with her pls help!!!!!! Im a first time mom

    Its normal for them to eat like that for the first couple of months you have to feed them on demand and then you can set a schedule that what my pediatrician said. My daughter is going to be 6 weeks tomorrow and she still eats almost every hour or every other hour

    New borns have growth spurts so im guessing its this babies will eat alot more after they are born but I think its every 3weeks they hit a growth spurt they will also dirty more dipers I asked my breastfeeding councelor :]

    Growth spurt. Its normal. I can't remember how long it lasts though. But I remember when my second lo did that. I thought I was loosing my mind. I didn't breastfeed my first one so I was totally clueless.

    @grissy _barria yea I have head of that! I feed her when she wants to eat but what I don't understand is how she went from eating every 3hrs to every hr.

    Oh I never thought about it being a growth spurt!! That would explain alot! I wonder how long it will last?!?

    Yeah a couple weeks ago my baby was fine and ate and slept every 3-4 hours now she is like piratically stuck on my boob. I also bottle feed her because in the beginning I wasn't producing enough milk but now I am so I am trying to Bf 100% but its hard

    Breast milk is not as heavy as formula so breastfed babies tend to nurse often. My boys did that to me. I found myself being a pacifier as well, especially at night. The feeding will be on demand at least for the first three months.

    @grissy_barria yea that's how I feel! She's glued to my boobs! Lol

    @dawtalove oh im not sure if I could do it at night! She sleeps about 3 hrs so im pretty lucky but my boobs get really engorged so im up to pump too.

    Im going through the same thing right now!! If she's awake she wants on the boob. I can't even leave her with anyone for over an hour. Hers so hungry. Poor thing.

    Im so glad you posted this!!!! My daughter is 11 days and has started eating for 45 mns every hour and a half lol. Glad to hear its normal. Thank goodness for mat leave lol.

    @salsabia @natashalynn we're walking milk machines!! My daughter screamed like she was in pain and wanted to eat! She ate for 5 min!!!! I can't even count the amount of times she did that today.

    @kansasmomma she ties me up for 20 minutes or longer everytime. Are you switching breasts each time or feeding her on one? I've read 2 different things. When my milk supply is up I let her feed off one breast. Sometimes its down and I have to give her both. Pumping keeps it up but I worry sometimes she isn't getting the hind milk when my breast are so full.

    @salsabia. I was worried about her not getting the hind milk too, she eats about 15-20 on each boob. After she eats I can still pump 1/2+ oz out of each boon.
