vasectomy?? & tubes tied???

My husband and I have decided our family is complete after our 3rd is born. He wants us BOTH to get snipped so that theres no OOPS babies... were 25, married 7 yrs, have a 5yr old 1.5 & baby due in October.....
He wants to get his done ASAP- like BEFORE baby is here... and expects me to get done soon after baby is here.
QUESTIONS: how bad is the Vasectomy really? like 2 days recovery time??? or will he be a bawling baby for weeks?!?!
ALSO: any one here had experiences with a tube tie? or the coil? or hyesterecomy? i dont know which way to go... i kinda like the hysterecomy and the though of no periods ever!!!
any thoughts ladies???

We are 28 and having our 4th and last. We will have 2 boys 2 girls.I am getting my tubes tied during my csection and his family wants him to get a vasectomy(they think its their business) but we agreed to just get the tubes done since doc will be in there anyway. I was told a vasectomy is extremely painful for a few days but short recovery time. Good luck!

a total hysterectomy at ur age could put u into early menopause its happend to my mom, gma, sister, bff, fiances mom alot of ppl I know id just get the tubal ligation, thats what im getting done

We are both getting snipped.. were both 34 years old and this is our 5th baby and we have been married for 15 years so we both feel this is the best thing for our family.. he is getting his vasectomy a week after I have the baby and I will be getting my procedure done 4 weeks after.. I have to say I'm very excited

Because you are so young your doctor may not even consider a hysterectomy unless you have problems with your period, it is not a good idea to have one so young really messes with your body. I am also 25 and I am just having my tubes tied after I deliver my baby girl.

Oh and have him wait to do the vasectomy until after the baby comes

Thanks ladies! we always knew he'd get snipped cuz our first was C-section so i have already had one surgery for our babies... lol... an Eye for an Eye...
i expect him to be home for a few days after cuz he cant do his job at 50 %... just not safe...
any concerns i should talk to my Dr about... (like the early menopause) in our decisions???

I am with u ...this is our 4th....they can take everything out of me at this point lmao...I know they won't do hystrectomy unless u have serious problems. Though I wish they would

This will b our 5th.im 30yrs old.I want more but can not be pregnant ever again.I prefer him get a vasectomy but he is a big baby.im begin for a c section #1 bc my last was 10lbs and this time I have gestational diabetes so I can only imagine how much this one will weigh.I will be getting my tubes cut or burned(cremated) no tying I've heard to many stories of them coming untied.I. would prefer we both get it done just to b safe but he wont.I would def have him wait till about a wk after the baby is born just to b safe your definitely sure and so is he.u should talk to ur dr bc mine offered me other options without surgery but they basically clog ur tubes in the office so no surgery.

Are any of them reversible? For the guy or us? My husband and I were also talking about this. Im just scared ill change my mind later so I doubt either of us will do it. But I'm just wondering if you can reverse them

I wanted a c section so i could get fixed. He offered to get vasectomy but I don't trust it, i want fixed too knowing i have to carry the kid! I may do coils, but i could be alergic so i may have to go with the other kind the rice looking ones. Seems like a long process part of me just wants surgery! But i only get 4 weeks off work

Check with your doctor & hospital because some won't tie your tubes right after birth even if you have a csection. Also you have to have paperwork signed & approved at least 6 weeks before you have the procedure. If you're thinking about a vasectomy for your hubby you should know that it takes up to 3 months for him to release all the sperm he is carrying so there's a possibility you could still get pregnant if you don't use protection.

Ya I know bout the vas time laps thats why im getting iud for a year just to be safe lol,, I dont want anymore.. Not from my.body. Anyway.., I want to do fostrr care after I have a career established and my kids r older I may have to adopt lol... If a child that needed me came along
