@mommykay, I would have loved to go shopping after I found out what my baby was, but we had a vacation planned starting the next day so it wasn't good timing financially.
@sands3, well that's cool! I have some clothes from my 1yr old, but the sizes won't match with the seasons for this little guy. Bubba was a Summer baby, Landon will be a Fall baby. Luckily gear is all seasons though!
@chicacs, oh wow, you got a head start! You haven't had an ultrasound yet? That's aweesome that you have all your big stuff already!
@2ndbutfirst, you got me beat by a couple weeks & you're all set with stuff still coming you're way! Being prepared is always smart, sometimes babies have a plan of their own lol.
@cfa, that's a good idea! Luckily I don't have anything big to get other than my swing, but even the little things add up.
Mommy_tiffay Yah this is my third baby and I don't get a baby shower so I have to buy every thing all over again. I wish a had someone to go shopping with. Hubby just gives me money and tells me to get whatever baby needs. He doesn't like to shop.
@sands3, what does your mothers intuition say? Most of the time intuition is right!
@cfa, I take it your youngest has quite the age space from this baby? That sucks. Where do you live? Where are your friends? Unfortunately, I don't drive but it kind of works out in my favor because that means whenever I want to go out, the hubby has to come with me, so he has no choice but to atleast shake his head yes or no to the things I'm throwing at him.
I have a 3 and 4 year old. I live in Sacramento ca. If if hubby goes with me to the store if I ask him what he likes or if he liked what I'm picking he tells me " whatever you want" haha be is so sweet but just not into shipping haha.
I'm 18 weeks, and already bought the bedding for the baby, which I don't even know the gender of. I'm going with a somewhat neutral old fashion tattoo design theme. It would work better for a boy, but hey.. It will be pretty edgy for a girl. Plus I have two daughters, and I knew from the get go, it wasn't going to be pink and purple, which happen to be my daughter's favorite colors.... Ugh! Other than that, I haven't gotten anything else. besides maternity clothes, which I'm sure doesn't count.. Lol
@cfa, awe so not too far apart really just far enough apart that you wouldn't want to keep all that stuff in your home taking up your space lol. Atleast your husband let's you pick what you like, he can't complain in the end.
@Emmieken, oooh bedding is next on my priority list of things to buy asap! But I have no idea what I want so far really, I'm kind of into the safari cribsets they have, but we will see. My 1yr old had a very modern cribset, it was rocketships! I wish I could find something totally eye catching like that again, but haven't had any such luck.
@ExcitedForOctober, when is your baby shower? That makes sense, just make sure you have money put aside for everything you may possibly need after your shower.
@momma_tiffay My babyshower is not until early Sept :-( ...i wish it was earlier so I could get prepared sooner but my mom is throwing it and she wants that date.
@cfa I have an almost 4 year old, and an almost 5 year old. Their birthday's are july 10th, the five yr old, and july 24th, the four year old. Both girls..basically my twins. And now having this new baby. Lol so you can relate to what I'm going through, which isn't bad at all.
@Emmieken I have a boy and girl and having another boy. What are you having? And when are you due? People ask me all the time if my life are twins how funny.
im only 14 weeks but started to think of people to invite to my baby shower lol my friend is throwing me one and she wants to get a head start on the invites and what not she likes to be organized i guess lol even tho she wont send them out until sept. its hard to doa baby registery when i dont even know what the gender is.. i wont know until july 27th
I'm 24+4 and just started buying stuff today...I have three outfits I bought about three weeks ago but today we went browsing only and marked stuff we liked...but then we checked internet prices and found packnplay, carseat, high chair, stroller with infant carrier all of which was 25-40% cheaper online than it was in the store! We couldn't help ourselves, too good of a deal! Were not finding out what we are having and we are not having a pre-baby shower so we have a unique set of challenges
I'm 23 weeks. I'm getting as much hand me downs as possible first. I already did my registry for my baby showers. I'm waiting until after to see what I still need to buy. I'm trying to save up as much $ as possible.:)
