I have not yet bf in public, dd is 23 days old and I plan on bf for atleast a yr. I dont plan on hiding in my home all yr, or going to the bathroom cuz as stated before who eats on a toilet.. But went to this neat store called the breastfeeding center and talked with the owner whos also a lactation consultant. I got this sling that makes bf discreet without having a backwards cape/apron thing on or feel like I'm suffocating my daughter with a blanket, but this sling is also for baby wearing. Oh and she showed me this cool hat that literally covers ur whole boob just by baby wearing...

YEA i HAVE SEEN THEM IN THE STORES I PLAN ON GETTING SOME FOR WHEN I START BECUZ I AM JUST NOT COMFORTABLE DOING IT IN PUBLIC THOUGH MANY WOMEN R ITS JUST MY LITTLE HANG UP BUT COOL IF OTHERS DO IT

I hate those apron things! Could they make something uglier to cover up your boob? I'm thinking of just using a blanket to cover up. I figure I'll have one with me anyway and unless its windy it won't fly off. That hat sounds really neat tho. I might look into that.

I made a shawl and it is the perfect shape to sit on my shoulder and it covers everything great imo.
