hospital info..copay help

I just read another post about registering at the hospital. My doctor is absolutely no help so what all do I need to do prior to having my lil girl

Is it normal to not hve a copay for delivery? Because I called and they said I don't have one ( btw I'm with kaiser)

Do you have to take a tour of the hospital your delivering at?

Do you have to register at the hospital?

What else am I missing that I need to do??

    No you don't have to tour the hospital a d I didn't register with any of the hospitals. And doctors aren't really worth asking about that stuff. Ask the people you call and make the appointments with or the nurses. They should know.

    The tour is your discretion, but it will give you a vibe for what the delivery rooms are like and your postpartum room. You may also get to meet some of the staff.

    I would call the hospital and ask if you need to register or not. If you do register, I believe it will just speed up your admittence and get you settled in quicker, but I could be wrong.

    Does anyone know what the purpose of contacting the human resources department @ work is for?
    Do I just let them know I when I will be takin my leave??

    Its ok I had a mc in march. Can't change my name. Ttc now tho. And you will have to let your employer know when your taking your leave and HR probably has to know so they can give you leave pay or just leave of absents.

    Oh and as for copay I don't think there's one for the birth you will get a bill in the mail for the remainder of whatI you owe after insurance.

    I've had both my kids at kaiser... And they were covered..my bf didn't remember paying anything not even the 10$ copay lol... I never toured the hospital. I don't remember pre registering either?
