She Cancelled My Baby Shower!!!!

I am pass pissed right now.. My mom have been promising to throw me a shower since I was like 20 weeks... I'm currently 30.4 weeks and today she tells me she can't give my shower because she isn't financially able... WTF are you serious... I'm no longer working. My boyfriend is a full time student so he isn't working. I have took my savings and bought the majority of the things I need but the DAMN shower would've been a huge help.. So now I have to get everything else.. This Shit is stressful... I don't even know what to do now... I'm going to be crying until September gets here... She really ruined this.. I have no one else to help me throw the shower... Any advice???

1. You dont need loads of money for a babyshower

2. To me that was selfish of her. My mom doesnt have money nor does.she work but she put hundreds of dollars to my b.s sO no excuses

3. Friends are the reason y women have b.s they suppose to help out

You can have a small picnic or bbq baby shower with food friends and family. And it wont cost much but u get.what.u.need

your mom cant have the baby shower at her house or yours?? i threw my friend a baby shower 2 years ago at my mothers place because i didnt have enough money to rent a place and noone else was stepping up to do it! if you go to vistaprint.com they have postcards that you can design anyway you want front and back and the first 100 are free so you only really need shipping which was like 10 dollars! you dont need anything fancy just put finger foods/chips dip out and you will be fine!! wish i was near you so i could throw you one! geesh i mean people understand that noone has money now a days so its doesnt have to be fancy its just a little party to help you with the stuff for the baby!

@Fashion_Junky91 yea I think she just don't want to do it... Her mom, my grandma just passed but she only came out of pocket 200 dollars.. So she can't just say I'm broke then she borrowed $400 from my bf to help assist with the funeral and doesn't plan on paying it back ...

@blueberrysmom I could do that and just ask my bf mom to help me.. that seems like a great idea.. and it cuts how much money I need down.

Borrowed money from him. I wuda said u dont have to give the money baq jus use that money for the babyshower and Really u dont need.the stress I think u and ur.bf shud.get wit some friends.and.plan a.small one or see if ur bf.mom can help.

Maybe make a potluck and have some family/friends help out with food if they don't mind... Then u just have to buy a casket and games are not that hard to put together....

@mariahaucoin77 my bestfriend is off at college in Arizona so she's no luck... All my other friends abandoned me when I told them I was pregnant... I'm so frustrated..

I tell my mom how upset it made me and she says well my mom needed a funeral Shit happens. I don't have the money and my vacation starts next month and I'll be out of town.. OH FUCKING REALLY??

1) that's bs she did that.. but
2) my baby shower was a HUGE WASTE OF MONEY!!!!! I SPENT 45$ to rent the place ..56 for decorations... 60 for pizza 100 for drinks n 46 on cupcakes n cakes.. n just got small ticket items... not trying to sound spoiled but DAMN WTF??!!! o n not to mention I had 65$ in prizes..

Thanks Ladies!!! I really appreciate it all... I've been planning it just off you all advice and I'm getting progress... I have a list from 10-15 ppl five games plus a diaper raffle... I'm only doing chicken bbq'd and buffalo, spaghetti, seven layer salad, cake, ice cream, chips and dip... I'll be going to dollar tree for decorations. I also have loads of Victorian secret lotions, purfumes and body wash non used. Because I went on a spree before I knew I was pregnant but I can't wear any smell or ill get sick... I'm going to give those as gifts. And other small gifts. And buy a nice gift card for the raffle.

I know this game that really fun and easy we plaed it at me bridal shower. Everybody has a cloths pin and you cant say baby and if you do say it and get caught the pesron who heard you gets your pin the person w/ the most pins at the end of the shower wins.
