Maternity Pictures

For those of you who have had them done, where did you go? Everyone keeps telling me Sears or JC Penny but I'm not sure how they will turn out. I looked into a photography studio but they cost $200. That seems like a lot to me. Is that expensive? :/

    It totally depends on the type of pictures you want, going to Sears they will be very commercial looking, a portrait studio gives you a lot more options to be creative....

    You get what you pay for with photographers. Like @ChelseaMarie said, if you go to Sears or JC Penny, you will get commercial-looking photos. Going with an independent photographer will give you more options.

    I have a few friends who are photographers. go to craigslist and find some people who do photography. usually if they are good enough they will have their own website going on or a facebook account. then look over their pics from there.
    i just had my pics done 2 wks ago today and they were only $50. she did FABULOUS! some were posed others were candid, and she did great incorporating my kids and their flighty little bodies as well. we did ours at a park.

    I second @survivormommie3! Go to Craigslist or another good site to check out is Model Mayhem. Look for photographers in your area who are just trying to build or add to their portfolio. Lots of times they will do shoots for free or very cheap.
