i have tried to google it but couldnt really get an answer. i am married we have been separated for almost 3 years.well im 32 weeks pregnant and i am still with her father but since i am still married will my husbands name automatically go on her birth certificate even if my baby daddy signs it in the hospital?? i live in the state of missouri..

I've read that the husband is legally presumed as the father until paternity is proven otherwise. Idk about it being specific to your state, but each forum I've read about several other states have the same generic info..

If you are legally separated I believe you may have more grounds to stand on when it comes to naming your child BUT PLEASE DON'T QUOTE ME. I'm no expert... just a thought

In Ohio ur legal husband's name HAS to go on it. Not sure about ur state. You could call l & d at ur hospital & ask a nurse, they would know since they're the ones to fill out the birth certificate info.
