So ive been really itchy so I talked to my dr. and it turns out that I have choleostasis (prob mispelled) im just wondering if anybody has gone through this im very nervous cuz since I have it early in the pregnancy (im23 weeks) they consider me a high risk pregnancy. Any info u guys can give me is greatly appreciated:/

Interesting. Most pregnant women are very itchy, how were you able to find this out? I could see many doctors just blowing you off saying its normal. I don't guess I know what this is that you have. Im glad your doctor was able to figure it out for you.

I googled it but just wanted to c if any one has gone through it. I tld them I had itching all over my body they asked me If I have any pain in my stomach which I do when I have to use the washroom so they did blood tests n my gallbladder I think stores too much bile then realeses into the bioodstream which makes me itch. Theyve heard of it but just not so early on. I have my drs appointment tue. Wit the high risk drs.

I had it with my first and will most likely have it with this one. It is basically when your body wont break down the bile so it goes into your blood stream. It causes alot of stress on the baby but the dr can monitor you closely and mine gave me meds to help. Its scary and the itching is torture but as long as the dr keeps an eye on it you should be fine. If you ever need advice or have questions just let me know

Im glad they caught that you had it though. I had to keep going and complaining and finally one of the drs tested for it.

Thank u @mollysmama im worried cuz wit my other 2 I didnt have it. Im scared cuz of the fact that a stillborn baby is a possibility. Did they put u on any restrictions? Yea I have the medicine already which helps me not itch as much. Which im glad cuz I scratch myself till I bleed. Gross I know:/

@Xsuzy21x yeah I would itch until I bled. I was on bedrest for two months bc I kept going into preterm labor. Just try your best not to be stressed bc baby is already under enough stress. They may put yoOu on bedrest eventually as a precaution. And stillborn is a very scary possibility and it makes you a nervous wreck, but just do what you can to not stress about it bc it will cause the baby stress. Im 17 wks on tues and have to go in mon to find out if mine has somehow come back this early

Do u have itching with this one? Omg I wish u luck n hope u don't because I wouldn't wish it for anyone its horrible let me know if u do. Id like to keep in touch if thats ok with u:) how early did u deliver?

Yes I have been itching like crazy the past two weeks. They said theres a 95 percent chance ill have it again. I delivered at 35/36 weeks.And id love to keep in touch its hard to find anyone that has had or has choleostasis and can relate

And the baby was fine right? Any complications? im srry im askin so many ?s its just im very nervous.

She was little so she stayed in the nicu and had to learn to breathe better on her own but shes healthy
