? for ladies who have had membranes stripped!

So I'm 38 weeks, and completely miserable.(who isn't?) My doctor mentioned stripping my membranes, well my cousin thinks because she went into labor the same day they did her that I will too! How many of you have had this done with little wait time until labor? How many has it not phased? I'm at 37 week appointment I was not diolated at all. Any tips knowledge of or advice?

I haven't had it done, but from people's posts, it seems hit or miss. If you're already progressing, it helps more. Some people go right away and for others it still takes days or even weeks. Good luck!

I had it done and had my son a week later. My sil did it and her water broke then and there, right on the table.

I had it done on friday july 15th and went into labor that same day and mr eli cash was born at 2:36 am on the 16th

I had mine done at a 2 with my last pregnancy and ended up having to be put on petocin to make contractions stronger, and then my membranes ruptured.
