I just want to nest!

So I'm due on October 12, having a baby girl and I'm soooo excited but I feel so unprepared. My husband and I just moved from Washington to Oklahoma a few weeks ago because he is getting out of the navy. We are staying at my brothers lake house for now and had originally made arrangements to buy a house here. The house deal that we had negotiated fell through so now we are stuck without a home. My brother said we could stay here as long as we needed but I just want a home of our own. All of our stuff is still in boxes and I haven't been able to nest at all. We are house hunting again and I know something will turn up soon but Its so hard to stay positive. I just want to go home and make a place for my baby girl :-(

I hope you find a home to nest in soon, otherwise I live in Oklahoma too and I lack the nesting gene. where on Oklahoma are you looking if you don't mind me asking.

Maybe you can do small things like brighten up the house with fresh flowers or do a little furniture arranging. I lived with my inlaws and couldn't nest the way you want either but I found that doing small things like buying new linens for my room. New towels for the bathroom. Flowers. Even buying candles and having my husband re arrange some of the furniture that was within reason so my inlaws didn't get mad helped some. I hope that helps.

@maranda3 I'm staying in Salina right now but am looking for a house in Tulsa or Claremore. I already have my crib bedding and a lot of nursery decor, all I need is a room :-(
@mama_luvs_her_girls I may try moving some stuff around... I'm just trying not to unpack all our stuff here because we will be leaving again soon... I hope...
Thanks for listening to me whine ladies, its just been tough to keep my chin up lately. We are going to look at more houses on Monday so hopefully one will be our dream home and we can negotiate a speedy closing :-)

OMG! That's crazy! We usually go close yo salina every weekend to the swimming hole! Its about an hr from us so now that I'm so close to due hubby won't let us. We're also looking to move to the tulsa area in the next month or 2 after baby gets here. Such a small world!
