Did/does anyone else have bad period pains during pregnancy. I'm nearly 33weeks is it normal?

Maybe its not period plans, could be contractions

Sounds like braxton hicks to me but you should time each pains you get if they get wors call midwife she will help you an tell you what she/he thinks will be best to do :-)
