Do anyone think that vaccines is a link to autism?

  • well I was going to bed befor you tossed that out there!! LOL I don't know.. I have a hard time with this one. I have had both my kids vaccinated with no issues. But the more I research it, the more I wonder if they really need EVERYTHING they toss at us. I know Dr's and drug companies make a lot of money off them.. But again I want to protect my kids as much as I can just like any mother. I almost died as a baby because of a reaction. And I know several people only give thier kids one or two at a time just to avoid not knowing which one might cause the reaction if it happens. Some vaccines have been around for many years and are for really serious things. These Im pretty confident about. Others not so much. I feel like its something I want to re search more befor this last one. And as a side note, I have never had a flu shot in my life, and have almost never had the flu. This is the first year I didnt give it to my kids and so far no issues. One light cold and thats it..? I think we still have to leave room for natural defences to form..
  • I don't think so. I have friends with autistic kids. From what I have seen mental illness and age and history of autism are main links.
  • I was watching a talk show & it was listing different factors. It made me think & question that theory, many of the parents in the audience blaimed

the vaccinations because of the mercury inside them.
  • I don't think there is a connection, true there has been a rise in autism over the past 50 years but there also has been a rise in awareness of all mental conditions. Doctors and parents now know what it is and have ideas how to treat it, before they would just say the child is insane and lock it in a mental institute.

Some of you might be to young to remember but there were alot of people who were dead set on the fact that cellphones caused cancer.
  • I've heard that before. I like to learn new things especially since this is my first child. This was a good topic to learn & great to hear other mommies views.
