I personally prefer a crib. I got a convertible for my son and am actually reusing it for this boy. It really depends on how much space you have and if you want baby in your room. My sin and soon to be have their own rooms and I found it easier to not have them in my room. It's really all personal preference.
I have both and use both...convertible cribs are awesome and can be used up to adulthood...pack n plays are wonderful for keeping baby in your room or traveling...pack n plays usually come with a bassinet and changing table...
ok thanks guys i already have a bassinet and my stepmom told me she was going to get the 4-in-1 convertible crib i wanted and my MIL said she was getting me the pack n play i wanted on friday but i just want to get different opinions i really want both but i knw the convertible crib will last me the longest maybe ill get both especially since theyre gifts :-D
with my first I had a bassinet for him until he was about 10 months then we got him a crib...worked out great for us. Now we are having another baby and I'm planning on doing the same thing
i agree that it really depends on how much space you have. i have 4 girls so they have to share rooms, which means bunk beds ,so for me the pack n play was better. but if your child will be able to use the bed years down the road it is probably better.
We're using a crib. I know my bfs grandparents already got us a pack n play with a changing table attached. I didn't really want one but I guess it will come in handy sometimes.
I have both. I used the pack n play while my first was very little to keep him in the bed near me and once he stopped nursing as often through the night he went into his crib. Pack n plays are also great for any out of town trips.
Both since you can use the pack and play as a corral later on.. Believe me is useful when trying to cook with a baby on the go..lol and the convertible crib is awsome..mostly if baby will have a room.
I have a bassinet im using and my pack n play. My pack n play has a changing table which is why im using it. Then once my baby out grows the basinett she will be sleeping in her crib. Cribs take up alot of space n when they are still small they fit in bassinets still n bassinets are better iny opinion cuz they are smaller so baby is more comfy n they can be swaddled.
I have a bassinet in my bedroom, crib in the baby room and the pack n play in the living room since it has a built in bassinet and changing table. I like the baby to have a place to sleep in any room i am in without having to move stuff around. I had the same thing for my last two kids as well. Its wonderful especially if you have stairs!
