Induction Time :)

I went to my 36 week appt today and was given an induction date. So little Tristan has been given his eviction notice. August 18 5:30 am. I also had my NST today and was having contractions every 2-6 minutes so hopefully he just decides to come on his own before then. Other wise 8 more days to go

@tlj2011 Is there a reason that they were inducing you early? I have high blood pressure, (even on meds) and my doctors didn't induce me until 40 weeks and 1 day! Grrrr on my doctors!

There are actually several reasons. I have fibroids and baby is over 90th percentile for weight. Originally they were not going to induce until 38 weeks. But the fibroids are getting too bad. So we were going to induce today however my hospital is on diversion right now. They aren't doing any unscheduled deliveries. All spontaneous deliveries are being diverted to civilian hospitals. And the civilian hospitals won't take any scheduled high risk deliveries. So all high risk inductions are being scheduled as of 37+ weeks as long as we get an amnio for lung maturity. Or we have the option to wait it out. And see if the new L&D at our new hospital will be ready before we go into labor. In my case I can't wait. The pain is too bad. I have constant shakes and cold sweats. I can't keep any food down. And they stopped all my pain meds at 32 weeks. So the next available date was the 18th and I jumped on it lol.
