So went to my 39 weeks 5 days appt and my doctor said that my cervix is open and he could feel my babys head but that my cervix is still long and thick how can that be ?? If he can feel my babys head I'm totally confused

I could feel my babys head for last 4 weeks she went 5days over its just the gead being so low

It just means that the cervix is opening, but hasn't started thinning yet. Nothing to worry about.
