  • I do. I guess its just easier to lose iron once pregnant baby takes it all. And it might make her constipated lol.
But my man has sickle cell anemia so I was worried when they told me I had it but they said baby should be fine.
  • I do but my dr said its cause most prenatals don't have enough for prego women so I take prenatal and iron
  • Her Dr had her stop taking prenatal vitamins cuz of the calcium. She gets kidney stones to easy. She is worried about the baby since she is anemic.
  • Im anemic also and am taking iron supplements. Its very common in pregnancy.
  • I take one in the morning and one on at night if I remember
  • i do alot of pregnant women get it
  • If she takes the gummy prenatals they don't have calcium. That way she can get everything else she needs. I take gummy prenatals and gummy calcium and since I'm anemic I also take 2 iron pills a day... But since it backs you up I also take stool softeners every day. Hope that helps.
  • @smcox where do u get the gummy kind?
  • I get mine at target. I know for sure the ones at target don't have any calcium in them, my hubby and I were looking for some that did but only found gummies without calcium. They are called vitafusion prenatals.
  • I have to take iron pills too, an eat a lot of leafy veg an red meat!
  • Thanks @smcox I just ordered some off of amazon.
  • I did along with my prenatals that already had iron in it

They sell the vitafusion gummies at Walmart also. These gummies prenatal do not have iron, so I don't know if you might wanna take 2 iron pills to make up for it.
  • @jcmommy she is already taking 2 a day.
  • Not sure if you have it over there but has iron tablets/syrup usually leave us women constipated there's this thing called spatone its in little sachets and you add it to water/juice :)
  • I Take Flinstone Vitamins
  • Spatone is great hey @SamiUK my midwife recommended it with my first and I'm using it this time too! Definitely easier on the poor bowel. Ive had quite bad anaemia this time but have other health problems which make it worse! It's really common for women to be anaemic while pregnant, don't worry! Try increasing iron in your diet too, broccoli, red meat, spinach, fortified cereals all help
