I seen before where someone said you need to get as much of the areola as you can in the babies mouth when you are breast feeding. Is that true? I have large breast, which also means I have big areolas and im scared I will have problems with breast feeding.

  • You just want to make sure the baby isn't only latching on to the nipple. It will make them so sore and it will make nursing painful. You might not get the entire areola in the babys mouth (I know it wasn't for my first) but part of it should be at least to ensure proper latching.
  • I heard that too, but I'm sure if baby is latching on properly you shouldn't have a problem. Also, most hospitals have a lactation specialist that can help you out.
  • Ok Shew... I think im more nervous about breast feeding then labor! Lol
