Sweeping Membrane

How many of you ladies have had your
membranes swept? Had my 36 week appointment today and my doctor offered to do it at 38 weeks... I need advice on this, what do you all think of it? Did it work for you? Do you recommend? I am so undecided about what to do!

I had it done with both my boys. With my first, my water broke a week later. With my 2nd, I was so overdue that I couldn't wait to see if I go into labor on my own. My sil did it and her water broke then and there on the table. I think it differs for everyone.
