Some people just don't get it or care

edited January 2011 in Pregnant
So we are prego with #3...15 weeks along. Prior to getting prego we had this couple friend that w hung out with almost every weekend. We have two kids and they have none.every since we told them we are pregnant we barely hear from them do not hang out and then when I try and ask them why they say its because I an different...well yeah I am. I have been super sick but now feeling better. They never ever ask about the baby or me. Its like since I can't party I am of no use...we are grown in our mid 30s and this just strikes me as most juvenile and not worth my time nor stress. Am I just being a hormonal prego?

  • I have friends like that but we are in our early 20s but some of our married couple friends don't want to be around those of us that are pregnant because they are having a hard time getting pregnant so some ppl can't deal with it cause its what they really want
  • Some people are just like that ive been ther with my first an now my second
  • Yeah same here. I'm 21 and my husband is 25 and allllll of our friends act like we have some sort of disease now. It pisses me off.
  • I am having the same issue. And I am in my mid 30s. But this is happining with my younger friends. It is not just one friend... it is a couple. Most of my friends that don't have kids are pretty much out of the pic. I have brought it up to one friend and she acts like im the one trippin out...hmmmm. I look at it this way... I don't need any friend in my life that's going to bring me down or not be happy that I am happy. :-j in with the good... out with the bad....
  • I was 18 married and pregnant with my first. At first my friends was excited for me, then I started to not hear from them and a part of me sort of understood because I couldn't party like I use too. It was very upsetting. Don't try to read so much into the situation. Find a mommy and me play group. It's always fun to meet new people that understand you and your kids to have new friends.
