Questions about stitches after birth?

I know they dissolve or fall out, but does anyone know what color they are?
I just wanna know if I can see some when I wipe if they fall out.
How do you know they're healing and healing correctly?
Mine itch...is that good or bad?

Sorry, I'm just too scared to look down there still haha and my pp appointment isn't till Sept. 1st and that's way too long to wait!

Itching is good. Bleeding or oozing, foul smell, weird discharge would be bad.

I think mine dissolved, I don't remember seeing them fall out.

I think they dissolve.. but not 100% sure.

They was clear I take a shower an d see 2 on the shower my hb pick them up I was like ewwwwwwww (2 years ago)

@laura536 Good! I was hoping it wasn't getting infected or anything. I stopped bleeding 4 days after I had him. I now just have a light yellow discharge but I assume that's normal.

If the itching gets unbearable or is accompanied by any of those other things, then you might worry, but usually itching just means it's healing. I'm guessing they gave you that dermoplast stuff to spray? That helps a lot.

Omg mine are itching too!! I gave birth august 5th. Witch hazel pads help and the hospital gave me hydrocortisone gel to use too. I only have a cpl stitches and they are on the inside, so Idk if they have dissolved or not yet.
