calcium deposits

I went to my dr. Today and had and ultrasound. When he was checking my placenta, he said I had calcium deposits. And I asked if it was bad and he said not really. But I don't understand what they are. And I can't find anything on google about them. Has anyone else had their dr tell them that, and what is it?
