@beaded_bunny in 1993 three teenage boys supposely killed three 8 year old boys in west memphis arkansas and they got released today.... there a movie on it.... there was no evidence linking them to the murders
I remember when it happened, reading about it in the papers/magazines, seeing the news. It was horrifying. Without question they "were" guilty.
About a month or so ago I caught the story on the ID channel. Where the parents of the boys were fighting for their release, new dna/evidence insinuated the step dad(or just a boyfriend?) of one of the boys had something to do with their murder. The end of the show basically said the town no longer believes the 3 did it, but the judge or system wont release them.
I saw online today they were released FINALLY. The article mentioned how they can't sue because they had pled guilty...so maybe that had something to do with why it took so long to be released after the new evidence. Which is really sad...I can understand why they pled..people were testifying with lies/stories, their lawyers probably suggested itd be easier on famile and their familes.
@mrs_shu yea its crazy that they had to plea guilty to get released i just dont see how they kept them so long without no evidence that they actually did it i dont know if they did or not but God does everything for a reason so maybe they where actually innocent... God will be the final judge of that its just sad that 3 8 year old boy where murdered and noone is getting punisihed for it but i guess thats how life is... i just pray if they are innocent that they do great things and stay out of the system now
