cant feel baby move!

edited August 2011 in Pregnant
Im almost 37 weeks and im not feeling my baby's movements like I used to. Bd thinks im paranoid.. but whatever. I went to l &d and apparently he's moving and is reactive and apparently im contracting every 2-5 min but they aren't strong enough to cause.me to dilate. I can't hardly feel any of this other than a period like cramp. Anyways, all the nurses and the dr told me I Did the right thing by going in, I didn't want to take any chances. Even tho now, I feel like a dork but im so much more at ease!

  • Go l&d if you are concern
  • Ok hun prayers keep update
  • they tend to slow down towards the end..no room !
  • Good thing he's moving again I get paranoid too sometimes I poke at him a lil then he pokes back (leave me alone mom I'm sleeping lol) then I know he's okay and yea I've only had the crampy feelings and lighting crotch feeling
  • I barely feel my son move anymore then I worry so when he does move its like relieving an itch
  • Yea as soon as they put the monitor on him and I heard his heartbeat I said "I don't care how much this er trip costs, it was 100% worth it for me to stop worrying!" My typically low blood pressure was 159/88!! I was one worked up mama! @preggointx

And @bbylucasmomma, I still can't feel his movements hardly but I heard then on the monitor and the dr reassured me he's moving! I feel so much better :)
  • I know what u mean
  • Glad you went in! :) it's like $200 each time for me but it's all worth it!
  • I did the exact same thing yesterday lol. All the nurses were like oh you did the right thing, an im thinking what a nerd and beginner I must seem like lol. But they did say where she was head down an engaged that it's harder for her to move. So id feel her much less.
  • Glad u went in too!! But just like @mrs4c its an arm n leg for my er visits too. Can't put a price on my lil stinkys life though!! When he is grown I will have a few pages of detailed back bills he needs to pay me back for! LOL
  • Good thing u went in, better to know put ur nind at ease... I am 38+3 n my baby moves so much!!! But now since he so big I feel like he isfighting with me, it hurts but then I laugh cause I think he really wants out!!!
  • Yea mine used to move all the time but now he doesn't as much, but they looked at the monitor and said he was "reactive" like his hr would increase slightly before a contraction or something like that. So im happy. And my baby has never been active at night, So I don't even have that to go by..he is most active in the afternoon. He has never kept me up at night. I have no idea why, but I think its cuz I've always been busy thru this pregnancy @letysfirst
  • Lol, my daughter quit moving a lot around 36 or 37 weeks, too. The only real movement I feel now is when she moves her head from side to side. :) I'm glad everything's okay, though! I definately know how scary it is!
  • @Mrs4c 200? Is that bfor insurance?? I went in last week and it was just round ligament pain :(
  • @lilpeapod913 my baby moves a lot in the afternoon, I never feel him at night, he might be sleeping as well, which is good cause he let's me sleep but as soon as I get up I get a good morning jab lol
  • My hubby went into er because our cat scratched his eye and without tricare it would have cost 6000. I almost crapped lol :) I'm a little nervous about er visits for baby now!

@ExcitedForOctober sadly it's the cost after our insurance. The bill was $1790.:( they did urine sample, one hour monitoring, and the ffn test. I was only there in triage maybe 3 hours. That was the cost from the first time my ob sent me in. Since then each time they've done more to me each visit and we are still waiting for those bills. We have Blue Cross Blue Shield and our deductible is $150 which we already had paid before visit so that's not part if the bill, and our copay is 90%.:) I did round up our bill to $200 in the above post but it really was like $170 something.
  • I have independence blue cross which is bc/bs outta state since my company is based in Philly.. They did urine, one hour monitoring (more like 2) and an exam to check to see if my contractions were doing anything.. can't wait to see this bill! Its gotta be better than the ones that keep creeping in from when I was sent to the actual ER And had an u/s, urine, blood work the whole 9.. that trip was about $400.

@Mrs4c :-( My bill should probably be around the same maybe, I had about an hour of monitoring, urine test, pelvic exam and that test to see if you will be going into labor in the next 2 weeks. I also have BCBS but my copay is 80%. Aaaah well, no price on our babies well being :)
