Baby showers as a means to inducing labor... Who knew?!

So I just heard that my friend had her baby this morning. I just saw her saturday at her baby shower lol. She was all excited about me taking some belly shots for her and how she was gonna be meeting parents at 37wks next week (she is a school teacher) lol. My cousin also had her baby the day after her shower earlier this month. My mom has also informed me that I was present at my own baby shower b/c I came a month early. After my mom's first shower that her MIL threw.... I was born 22hrs later lol! Needless to say they had to reschedule the shower her mom was putting together :-) Now my husband is getting worried I'm gonna follow in the trend. He basically told me to not push until his mom was here (she is flying in from Korea two weeks before my EDD). I just laughed and told him not to worry b/c knowing my luck baby will stay til 42wks lol. Has anyone else had this happen? Or are all of my friend's babies (and me apparently) just too egar to greet everyone! :-)

I didn't have my daughter right after a shower but my bff took one of the only pics of me the night of her daughters birthday and said look now your going to have her tomorrow. Sure enough about 14 hours later I had my little Nina what's funny is a year earlier I had done this to her with her son and sure enough she had him the next day! Mines not parties but pictures....LOL

Wow @Mylittleman2011 that is pretty cool!! Unfortunately I don't know when my shower is... everyone likes to surprise me. But just so I cover all my bases... no pictures either hahaha! :-P

I came on the day of my moms shower..at 5:00pm or so. My daughter came at 7:35 am sat at 37w4d...the day of my shower. For baby #2 I'm having my shower sat the 27th....next week! Ill be 34 wks. Hope I don't go into labor until at least 38 wks...babys rm isn't ready!

@somastar lol don't get tio surprised lol. We had my shower a month after the fact so alot if my friends could see her. It would have been bad if she was born after her shower.

now you have me all worried lol
My shower is the 17th of Sep... and I don't want my baby making any appearances until after the 22nd thanks to the way my insurance ended up being set up. -shakes fist at stupid insurance-
