I know a ton of people who have used them with no issues, myself included.. I think that if it was a huge risk they wouldn't sell them.. There are tons of items on the shelves that pose as a risk but they still sell them..
I'm sorry but as long as your watching your baby while they eat as you should be on the off chance they start choking you can stop it. Plus I've seen babies start to choke on plain ole formula. So keep doing what you're doing like you said nobody knows your baby like you do! I started doing actual cereal as food once they started learning to open their mouths for a spoon.
