Why is he being so difficult!? (VENT)

So last week my hubby and I went out and brought a carseat. I was so excited about buying the thing I didnt pay any attention to the fact that we brought a carseat with one of those convient little handles and we dont have a stroller so if we were going anywhere we would just have to literally carry her around in our arms because our carseat is strictly for the car. A fwe days ago I was telling my sister about this problem and she suggested returning the carseat and just getting a travel system and because they are so expensive she offered to pay for half of it. I was so excited about her offer I rushed home to tell my hubby but he doesn't want to do it! When I asked him why he couldn't even give me a good reason why all he kept saying is " because I already brought a carseat." I was floored! If we got a travel system not only would the carseat be more convient we would also be getting a stroller for only $20 more than the carseat we have. I don't see the down side or why he is making such a big deal about this. He is so intent on keeping the carseat he brought today he suggested keeping the origional carseat and spending another $80 with my sister to get the travel system!!!! How does that make any sense?!

  • Male pride. . . Never makes sense.
  • Just go buy the travel one then you will have a back up and you won't have to switch the carseat if you would happen to take another vehicle. I have it that way and its so much easier
  • @ beaded_bunny LOL
  • i agree with @momof5 just make sure the other seat is in his car so that he has to carry her around in his arms lol But it makes much more sense to get the travel system! And I love strollers! they are a life saver from making your arms fall off and hey u get cupholders and storage on the bottom for the diaper bag ! lol Or hey maybe he just really likes the one u guys got? Maybe///////////
  • Well, the carrier carseat only lasts until 20 lbs, so if you go ahead and keep his carseat and then also buy the travel system, you won't have to buy another seat in a year. It's also helpful to keep two seats if you have two cars or need Grandma or someone to watch the baby.

He probably wants to keep his carseat, because he feels like you're telling him, his choice isn't good enough. Guys are goofy like that. But if he's willing to buy both, I'd just get both. Also, if you don't need the stroller (I've only used my stroller like 10 times and my daughter is 5!) You can buy just the carry seat for like $60 at walmart.

@ laura536 we wouldn have to buy another carseat after 20lbs because my sister has one that is in perfect condition and she is giving it to us! We also already have a seat carrier but it doesn't fit the seat he refuses to give up! My whole point is we could take the $80 he wants to spend on another seat and use it on other things we need for her like the crib matress we haven't brought yet!
