It is a form of nipple stimulation which is believed to bring on labor so yes I think they recommend 5 mins on 5 off for an hour...

They say it can cause strong uterine contractions, so if ur cervix is soft I would think so.

I'm 80% effaced .. and 1.5 dilated soo I'm soft.. but nipple stimulation didn't do a thing for me. Be careful about how much you do it it could cause stress on baby.

I'm like a half of a centimeter. And likely to go past my due date. Idk about being effaced. @jay_brad

I've never tried it before, I don't have a pump. Out of desperation last night I asked my hubby if he would suck them for 10 mins. each! Lol, it was funny.
