labor cake! update at bottom
I'm 38 weeks, a little early to be trying to induce, but the chocolate labor cake just sounds too good to wait another 2 weeks to try! I bought all the ingredients with the last of my food stamps for the month and I just put the first pan in the oven! My oven is too small to fit both pans, so I'm just doing one at a time. Plus, it will give the bottom a chance to cool. I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out! I'm not really putting too much faith in it inducing labor, but if it does, that's cool too.

I kinda doubt it will work cuz I got checked yesterday and my cervix is still thick and high and I'm only a fingertip dialated. I've hardly lost any plug at all.
Omg, it was so good! It was really filling (I had a sandwich right before I had my cake) so after I ate it, I took a nap! After I woke up, I had another piece which filled me up for the rest of the night. No contractions except maybe some painless Braxton Hicks. I could definitely feel some more pressure and aches in my pelvis which is about all I've been having so far. I think I'm gonna freeze some of this cake and have some in a couple weeks.

It's chocolate overdose cake! You mix a box of devils food cake mix (prepared as package instructs), a box of chocolate pudding, a cup of sour cream to make it moist and dense, and a bag of chocolate chips. I topped mine off with chocolate fudge icing too.
This link kinda explains how its supposed to make you go into labor plus it has the recipe.
So I think I'm actually having little contractions. My whole belly gets hard and I feel even more pressure and some pain in my pubic area. The pain and pressure happens sometimes, but never with my belly getting hard. Achilles is awake and wiggling around so I guess he likes the cake too!
