D&C......stories?

I have to have a D&C due to leftover placenta tissue, 8 weeks post partum. Has anyone ever had one? What can I expect? I am also hoping to get my tubes burned at the same time...anyone know anybody who's done this? I really can't miss more work!

@mama_busy_bee I had to have one last September. I was sore for a few days, but the bleeding was minimal and under control. The emotional toll was hard for me as I had to have it done because of an incomplete miscarriage. Good luck!

I had one 6 years ago...I personally didn't have a good experience... My doc had her license taken away from her month later. But I think even if it goes well you will probably still be in pain for a couple days.

I had one due to irregular uncontrolled bleeding, ans I took Thursday(day after ) off, and ended up having to take Friday off too. You are sedated but still concious. Its terrible

Yikes. I am also getting tubal at same time. I am just reading about these, I didn't realize they were used usually in miscarriage situations. I am so sorry for anyone's loss, I didn't mean to ask this question and bring up any bad memories for anyone. Aside from all the hassle with insurance, I guess I will do it on a Friday. Its really crappy because its only a small amount of tissue in there.
