So my midwife told me how to give myself the GBS test last week and I did it, but I don't think I did it right. I was supposed to insert the swab and swab inside my vagina and then swipe the outside of my anus and put the swab into a tube with gel at the bottom. Easy enough right? Well I inserted the swab and then wiped my anus once without sweeping inside my vagina! Will that make a difference? Should I ask her to retest? I feel so dumb

    I didn't have my butt swabbed but I think you should ask again. You don't want a false result. Id ask just to be sure.
