fussy/gassy breastfed baby??

So does anyone else have a fussy/gassy baby and is breastfeeding?? I found this article and it helped soooo much! It explains exactly what our issue is.. I never knew this could be a "problem" I thought me "leaking" meant I had lots of milk and it was a good thing but obviously my baby doesn't like it. So if you're having this same problem I hope this helps and you continue to breastfeed!

So I think I have the over reaction thing or whatever ha. Because my babygirl has had all those signs for a while and she gets really fussy and horrible gas. It smells horrid. Be she has only like 2 maybe 3 wxplosive diapers a week. What do you think I should do?

ohh no. I wish I woulda seen this before I stopped breastfeeding because she had gas super bad and it was waking her up out of her sleep

@minirip nurse her on 1 breast only try laying on your back while nursing (mayb gravity will help with the let down) that's what I'm trying for now. I'm also gonna try pumpiing when the milk let down is happening (when she starts to gulp and choke on the milk) get her to unlatch and pump that milk out then get her to latch again after the milk has slowed down

@ittybitty oh man I had already sorta quit today (gave my baby formula) but then I found this! And I'm gonna talk to my lactation consultant on Tuesday about what else I can do to help.. this is why I wanted to post it!

Thanks for sharing. My baby is 8 weeks and this describes him perfectly. He is extremely sassy and does not sleep. He only poops once or twice a week.. I do give him gripe water and mylicon, and it helps some. I have also given up dairy, chocolate, carbinated drinks, means, green vegies, etc. I'm starting to think I should try formula.. poor baby is miserable.. I just try and do the right thing.:(

well that was nice of u for posting it. IF (& thats a BIG if) I have any more babies I will remember this. I miss breastfeeding but im completely dried up now..

Wow we were talking about breastfeeding earlier and how much milk we r making. But my son does show some of these signs as well. Thanks so much for posting this ur a great help! My son will thank u
