flu or early labor *update kind of at top**

edited September 2011 in Labor
Anyone have flu like symptoms right before active labor? If so how long before your little one arrived? I've been having timeable bh that last all day since Sunday and now today woke up feeling like crap! Diarrhea non stop, nausea, and sweaty. Yesterday all day I was crying for no reason!

**update kind of**
So I took my temp 3 times, 95.3,95.1, and 94.8. My husband took his and it was fine at 97.6. What can a low temp mean??? I usually am real close to the 98.7 range even during this pregnancy.

  • Sure sounds like early labor symptoms! If it is then good luck momma!! If not, I hope u feel better soon :)
  • Maybe go in anyway could be labor. But you might just get dehydrated.
  • Funny...my Dr just checked me because I went for a check up and told her I was feeling awful. I am not in labor but she said it is VERY common to feel flu like and "out of sorts" right before labor. She put me on a no stress/resting status. But I am only 35 wks 5 days. I would bet it is early labor for you. If I am recalling right, your due date is soon, right? Good luck if it is. If not my dr said to just rest and rest, my body is probably just getting worn out.
  • Yeah I'm due September 23 or October 1st. September 23 by lmp and October 1st by ultrasound but the September date has always made more sense to me because we were trying.
  • I hope so! I developed a cold blocked sinuses runny nose a ringing ear from the blocked sinuses and extremely tired. I'm 3 days overdue...let's hope.
  • I've been throwing up headaches achy body flu like symptons since Sunday. Went to ob today he said its totally normal to feel like this prior to labor I'm due the 28th
  • bump for update
  • We're actually not that far off. I am due Oct 7 but c section planned Sep 30. My dr said that I may have a bug and in the next day or w I will know if that's what it is. But if I'm not feeling better by Friday and I haven't showed signs of a flu bug then I need to go in. So I would say for you to maybe call in if your not feeling better tomorrow. They may want to check you too. My dr actually told me she is not going to put me on bedrest, because I wont listen. But she did say my cervix is soft, and she doesn't want me to go into labor for another week or 2. So she told me to take it easy and rest. You are a week ahead, so it might be that your getting ready :). Think I would call doc if I was you and still felt bad tomorrow. Just my opinion though. I have 3 other kids but never felt this horrible. I also think, for me anyway, its the heat. Its been hot here in OR. Keep us updated. I'll be hoping its just soon baby time for you :)
