How do you tell the difference between baby turning, braxton Hicks, and labor?

I'm positive I'm not in labor yet but the baby is moving funny along with getting bh really bad so I'm wondering. My stomach has tightened up pretty bad about 4 or 5 times in the last 30 mins. Its pretty rhythmic but came out of nowhere so I'm wondering what he's doing in there. I'm around 36-38 weeks but haven't had a single sign of true labor so yeah idk lol

@firsttimemommytobe I would think so too but this girl I work with just had a baby is a ftm and didn't feel herself having labor contractions until she went in for an appt and was already 5cm dilated and having regular contractions
