what to expect at my first ultra sound

I go to the dr Friday for my first ultrasound. My mom and bf both wanna be there. Just curious as to what to expect. Will it be a transvag ? I heard they take a lot of blood that day

It all depends on how many weeks you are.. and yes! Lots of blood! S how many weeks are you?

It depend how far your are. I was unsure of my last period so they had to do the ultrasound to find out how far I was, she tried on my tummy first but couldn't see well so did the transvag, turns out I was 10 weeks then. It was odd but not to bad. They took about 4 vials of blood from me at my first visit.

@jenifurrfurr they did a belly ultrasound on me at 10 and a half weeks and could see my little one guess he/she just wanted to be seen! Lol
@ashley then it will most likely be transvaginal and you'll see a little bean!

Does the tttransvag hurt?? Will I hear a heart beat??

No it doesn't hurt and it depends for sure you'll see the heartbeat but idk about hear

I heard the heartbeat at eight weeks transvaginal and it didn't hurt.

When I had a transvaginal ultrasound the tech wouldn't let anyone come in the room with me. Maybe it's a different procedure for different hospitals?

They told me there was room for up to 3 in the room. I still find it awkward my mom knows I'm having sex lol how weird is that. Lol

Omg my first appointment is tomorrow and I only found out yesterday idk what to expect
