Mucus plug ??.. tmi

I am 33w +4d and I've been having lower back pain and cramping, I spoke to the Dr. He said its normal. This morning I went to the restroom and I happens to look down and seen something green and thick and had like a white string of Idk what attached to it? It wasn't a big piece just small. So could this be part of the mucus plug? BTW I am a first time Mom so I have no clue ..
