Omg Breastfeeding

Has become painful now. This baby has some locked jaws, good gracious. Im alternating between hand expression(doesn't hurt) pumping(hurts some) and putting her to the breast( hurts like hell) I'm trying to do those on different days. Switch up! My breasts are starting to get hard around the top(i guess my milk is trying to come in) because its getting more color and more white looking. But hand expressing is the best thing for me right now.

It's a girl @KrazymomofAdrian the nipple hurts but now that milk is coming in the outer rounds of the breast hurts.


I pump really well but now that she sucked the life out of them they really hurt when they are pumped. She made scabs on both nipples @caffienated_katie

It'll be my 4th day. I'm so upset.I didn't expect for this to happen this early, bit I won't give up. I put on the nipple cream and I have ice on them @KrazymomofAdrian

Itll get better, I promise. My nipples actually bled for the first couple weeks, but I eventually toughened up. Until then, lanolin is AMAZING.

Good be stubborn like me lol. Just beware Ice and cold can decrease your supply. Keep us updated. Good luck and go mamma go

Oh the lactation nurse said that ice can help the swelling go down and my nurse said it also. They gave me the ice to put of on them and thank you, I really hope I get past this @KrazymomofAdrian

Whatever you do, keep expressing the milk anyway you can! When your milk comes in, and you're having pain on the breast, not nipple, you could have clogged milk ducts which could cause mastitis. It's not fun. I've had it twice

It gets better I almost stopped too cuz my nipples were so torn up! But they do toughen up and now its not painful at all. My daughter is 19 days old now

K. thats good news. I tried again on the pump and the milk came flowing out really quick and it didn't hurt. I had really felt so proud of myself! @jazzi89

I'm not gonna put her on until they feel a little more better. I'm just gonna pump/ hand express for now. I tried pitting her on earlier, man o man her name could be jaws.lol @KrazymomofAdrian
