Good luck hun... I did castor oil a few times and it did nothing but I hope it works for you:) I had my baby at 38 weeks by csection because of blood pressure.. I definatly hope it works for you:)
Isn't Caster Oils intention to give you bowl movements and the bowl movements are supposed to help the uterus contract? I would assume it would be useless for me to take if I'm already having overly active bowls already?
@eskarne_339 Good question! I would ask ur caregiver. Bowel mvmts with castor oil are pretty explosive...if ur having explosive bowels now I would definitely ask your caregiver bc thats not normal, per se.
@mom2be Haha, yeah. I don't know what's up with my body right now. She told me that bowl movements can be a part of contractions though. Every time I think I'm having a real contraction, I end up on the toilet or having to toot really bad.
I went on a mile 1/2 long walk last night and I was practically running home to make sure I got to the toilet in time, LOL!
Please ladies NO HOT SHOWERS, BATHS OR HOT TUB JACUZZI'S while prego!!! I am pretty sure that raises your internal body temp too high and can cook your unborn baby just like heating up that chipped beef in bag.
When I got prego with my first, the doc had the nurse counsel me for like 3 hours about the list of stuff u can & can't do while pregnant. They told me hot shower, bath, jacuzzi could cause miscarriage or fetal death. Which made sense to me bc I had seen signs by hotel & waterpark hot tubs that warn pregnant women not to use them.
Have any of you ladies been told otherwise? My first was 21 years ago...it's like everytime I havr a baby they change the rules on me.
@Finallyaboy I've heard that hot hot baths, hot tubs and jacuzzi's are bad but I've heard nothing about a hot shower. I've only heard good things about taking hot showers. Specially for nipple stimulation if you're full term and want to help get things started. Maybe that's why hot showers could be considered bad, if you're not full term? That's my guess.
My midwife put it like this, the baby in the womb is usually one degree higher than you are. If you're uncomfortably hot then it's not ok. And I've never heard anything about hot showers because the belly is not submerged in water.
@HomeBirthAdvocate I would rather take a bath every day than a shower. So I do, but if it is going to harm baby, I wont! I will keep a thermometer beside the tub and check it (: thanks so much!
If your really worried get one of those baby bath ducks with the color sensor. You'll probably end up getting one for baby anyway so why not now lol @mommyofchristmasbaby

I just checked a few websites...Babycenter and others. They said same thing not over 100 degrees.
