baby shower too extravagant? pshhh, i like it!
i keep getting told were doing too much for a baby shower. but anyway heres everything thats going on:
set up theme: angels & bells
date: oct 29th
location? the new convention center
planned through & catered by: The Embassy Suites Hotel & Spa (when their rooms arent big enough they use the convention center rooms conveniently located next door)
how many anticipated people: 100-150 guests (huge family & decent amount of close friends)
menu: fresh fruit display, (Southern Comfort Package Menu) fried flounder w/tartar sauce, southern fried chicken, baked macaroni & cheese, braised collards, cornbread muffins, peach cobbler, strawberry shortcake, coffee (reg & decaf), & iced tea
decorations: colors - pink purple & white, table center pieces blocks w/white angel teddy bear on top, her name (harmony nicole) in lighting effects on the wall behind the dj (my moms bf, yay for the free dj!) decorative lighting in theme colors
events: meet & greet mingle activity/time for eating, baby shower games, present opening, ceremony to ask best friend to be godmother, & time to just have fun & dance & celebrate the new baby
take home keepsake: an engraved glass christmas ornament in shape of bell with her name & 2011 on bottom.
me personally i think its going to be lovely & memorable
