healthy snacks/meals...?

I wanna start eating better to help loose the rest of my baby weight...now that my daughter is 3 weeks old. I wanna get on the ball and start better habits. What healthy/semi healthy (we're all human ;) snacks/meals do you eat?

  • Make your own veggie soup or chili. Baked chicken/fish green beans and salad, tuna sandwiches, fruits and veggies for snacking, yogurt, eggs, oatmeal, smoothies...and water water water!
  • I like my fruit and veggies for snacks. I always need ranch dip for my veggies though. Sometimes I like caramel dip with my apples. I've been eating a lot of yogurt lately too.
  • Healthy snacks I think are easy but healthy dinners mean a lot of prep. I don't have my baby here yet and I don't wanna do it lol I know when she is here i won't then either any suggestions?
  • Simple little things can help steam your veggies take skin n fat off Ur meats , say no to the dressings or choose a clear 1 so instead of creamy , eat on a smaller plate , don't eat while Ur busy sit n eat to make u aware of what's going in , try parking further away when shopping or @ a different end of the car park to where I need to go
  • @MattandMallory27 When I got towards the end of my pregnancy, I just wasn't up for making a home cooked meal. So, I'd go to sam's club....and they have frozen dinners that are already made...you just have to stick it in the oven. (general tso chicken, lasagna, chicken parm, pasta w/ vegs, fish, etc.) Each frozen dinner usually come with enough for two different meals, so you can stock up a bit. It wasn't super healthy, but it wasn't a lot of work.
  • Its hard because I love fish but boyfriend hates it same with whole wheat pasta or rice which I love both are I know are a much better choice if your going to eat them. It is just hard to cook them for one and then have to make something else for him lol Boys... lol
  • @mattandmallory27 I have the same problem...my husband doesn't like wheat pasta or rice. But if you do wanna eat those things, I have found pasta that is "white" pasta...but has all the same nutrients as the wheat. Or there's tri-color pasta, that tastes just like white pasta but has the nutrients of tomatoes, spinach, and some other vegtable...
  • How is your weight loss going? I am nervous about it! I hope I can loss it fast as people say it happens that way? are you doing more then just eating healthy?

  • @mattandmallory27 I gained 26 pounds with my daughter and so far I've lost 18 pounds since I last weighed myself a week ago...I haven't been eating healthy yet...I'm planning to next time I go food shopping, lol. And next week I'm going to start walking/eliptical. I'm 3 weeks pp. Even though I only have 8lbs to my pre preg weight, I still wanna loose another 20lbs. Loosing has been going easy so far...I haven't done anything.
