I am being induced tomorrow! I have to go in tonight at 8 and they will start me on a something to thin my cervix. What can I expect during this whole process? This is my first baby and I am starting to get very nervous !

I was induced with my first. I was only dialted 1 when I went in. I was given patocin(don't think that's spelled right....) to start contractions. My water broke on its own and once it did the contractions were a lot more intense. I had an epidural because I was stuck @ 6 cm. Once I had that, things progressed a little faster. I went into the hospital at 6:30am and by 8 am they were just starting the patocin. I had my son at 9:37pm. It wasn't a bad process, just not how I wanted to deliver. I am hoping to go on my own this time around. Good luck!

Good luck! don't b nervous!! I had an induction too. Arrived at 8am registered..got into the labor room and they did vitals, history and blood work. Then was started pitocin by 11. By 2 I was fully dialated and ready to push. He arrived 4hrs later! Pushed forever! He was stubborn.
