I heard it does. And there is a episode of 16 and pregnant that one of the girls did it and worked . I heard it gives you diarrhea

I used it with my 1st pregnancy and it worked. Your body has to be ready though, otherwise u will just have contractions and not dialate. Also the day before my doctor stripped my membranes so after that and the castor oil I was ready to go. Also castor oil is good too because u can go to the bathroom before u have the baby and u won't crap yourself during labor! Lol

I've heard that castor oil is dangerous to use to bring on contractions. It can also cause the baby to have its first bowl movement while still in the womb. This is considered to be a sign that baby is under stress. Baby will come when its ready.

Castor oil is dangerous u should never use it ...it is a laxative that cause the intestines to contract and can put the baby in stress I found this out when I was 41 weeks preg with my second son all it did was make me extremely sick I was vomiting and had severe diarhea within 20 min of drinking it it also put me in the hospital and made my sons heartrate drop drastically and ne!!ver had one contraction a week later I was induced .....do not use it dumbest thing a person can do!!

I did it with my first and it did work and luckily everything was ok. I was young and anxious then and would NOT do it again. I was not aware of the risks I was putting my baby in. Baby will come when baby is ready.
