Ultrasound Today! :) *update at bottom*

I had a dr apt on Friday and I am 32 weeks but I was measuring 36 weeks. So we are doing an ultrasound today! I'm excited to see my lil guy!
My question is: what exactly will they be looking for? Will they just want to see how big he is, and if that is why I'm measuring so big?
My first son was a big baby as well, he was 21in and 9lbs 5oz. I expect this guy to be big too, just hopefully not that much bigger than my first.

Yep they will just measure everything to see if he is just a big boy and if so they may decide if they want to deliver early.. Goodluck, so exciting getting to see ultrasound later on

Hey, they should measure babies waist and head circumfrence. My boy has measured 5 wks ahead for about 7 weeks now and we have had 3 sizing scans in that time and he has stayed consistent! Mine is measuring in the 97th percentile which sounds scary but think i will just get induced early. With your 9lb 5 baby were you told they would be big? im scared im gonna have a 20lber! lol
Also how was the birth with a bigger baby? I have heard mixed reviews!

Also we have another scan on the 3rd oct i will be 36 weeks, i cannot believe how baby like the scans look now so a 36 week one will be crazy, last week we could see his chubby cheeks and hair!

@three_cats_n_a_baby I didn't have any problems dilivering my big boy. He came out perfectly fine. I had no clue I was having such a big baby! I was shocked when they told me how much he weighed. I only ended up with 1 stitch but I tore on both sides of my laibia so I. Had a stich on either side of there.

They will check babies measurements, location of your placenta, level of amnio fluid and babies lung/kidneys/bladder. Good luck mama its probably just a big baby or extra fluid. I had extra fluid..

Well the tech said he is measuring right on schedule (33+5) I am 33+4 so pretty darn close, and normal fluid amounts. He is weighing about 4lbs 8oz which she claimed is average. So not sure why they claim I was measuring big, maybe just his placement that day?

Yep sounds average to me at 32 wks my baby was 4 lb 8 oz

Mine was 4.9 at 28 weeks! He's gonna be a whopper isn't he! Eek!

i go in for an ultrasound tomorrow at 31 weeks pretty excited we didnt get enough face shots the first time to make the doctor happy so back we go now gma and daddy get to see
