Birthing ball ?

Okay so whats it posed to do cause I just got one and most of the time I hear people say it made there water break is that always the case or is it pose to start contractions with out water breaking. Is it possible for the water to beak the wrong way and cause complications whats your birth ball story?

I bounced/rolled on my ball the night before my water broke. I don't think the two were related tho.
