how to get newborn up to eat????

So I my baby early today and Im trying to feed her..but she won't wake up! She last ate at 11 for 20 mins...but didn't eat at 12..its 1:27 and Im trying to get her up..I blew her face..place my nipple by her..tap her chucky cheeks..so what do I do?

I'm a ftm so maybe you shouldn't take my advice but I say let her sleep... lol

Edit: I just found an article that says newborns need to eat at least every 4 hours. So maybe let her sleep a little longer the try again? You just had your baby? I would imagine birth tires them out as well

U can let her sleep a little longer, but to wake my son up I change his diaper and keep him undressed somewhat...if they're all warm and cozy its really hard to wake them.

I had to take off all my baby girls clothes, lay her down on the bed with no clotges or swaddle so she started squirming and gettin upset cuz she liked to be warm and held...shes 3 1/2 weeks old and I still have to take her clothes off and change her diaper to get her to wake up and eat every 3 hours....ur lil girl is so new right now she just needs some sleep, wait for a bit and try again later....congrats on ur baby girl
