Contractions

So I am 34 + 5 and I have been having contractions all morning. They have been about 8-10 minutes apart and are mostly painless. I called and a nurse and she said if I can't walk or talk through them then to go into L&D and get checked out. My concern is It's TOO EARLY!!! wouldn't you think that they would want to stop contractions prior to them getting to the point where I can't walk or talk through them?? I'm a FTM and NOT READY!!!

    Most hospitals will not stop labor after 34 weeks, unfortunately. Make sure you are resting and drink plenty of water. Do you have any symptoms of s bladder or yeast infection? Those can cause contractions.

    Get some rest, go in if you feel you need to! Baby will be okay, try not to stress. Good luck

    I am at work unfortunately... I get to sit but we are soooo busy and I was just out for over a week for my wedding last Saturday so leaving unless I'm going to L&D is out of the question!! Wish I could just have my dr take me out then I could stay in bed with my feet up!
