It just to make sure nothing harmful is in the fibers of the clothing. Newborns are suseptible to everything. you never know what type of germs where at the store the clothes sat in for God knows how long.
  • YEA I KNO AND THEIR SKIN MAY BREAK OUT SO ITS BEST THAT U WASH THEM
  • Not just clothes but everything!!
  • I would definitely wash everything. I used to work At a Kohl's department store and you wouldn't believe how many hands touch the clothes you Buy, including the packers and workers who put them out on display. So many germs spread that way, and you couldn't imagine how many People work and go shopping while sick.
  • Yes wash everything! Including blankets and bedding burp rags towels. Anything that will come in contact with your babys skin.
  • Yes they use such chemicals as formaldihyde (so?) To keep wrinkles and bugs out
  • Unless it's in plastic but to be on the safe side wash it anyway.
