Ascities

Anybody else baby has Ascities or kno someone who baby has it? It's basically fluid in the fetus stomach... I googled but I'm not getting much info... I basically wanna kno did the baby have any complications and live a normal healthy life... Any info will be helpful... Thank you...

I'm an RN and specialized in transplant, so I've seen my fair share of ascities in adults as I cared for many liver patients. I did not care for the pediatric population, so I'm can't tell you anything about outcomes for children. However, I can help you out with info about the underlying cause and the disease process. Do you have a diagnosis? Is it a liver or kidney issue?

@DreaMaria... No... They ran every test u can think of on me... I'm fine... I travel to a specialist 2 times a week to get her heart monitored to make fluids don't appear there and an ultrasound to make sure the fluids don't increase in her belly... So far so good, but this was only my 1st week... The doctors are trying to wait til 38 weeks to induce me... I'm 36 now...
