how far along do babys usually drop? does it mean you are going to go into labor soon or anything like that?

Nope, it doesnt mean labor is soon.

Its different for every woman. Some go dont drop until.they go into.active labor. Some drop weeks before labor.

im first births the baby usually drops a few weeks before birth but in subsequent births the baby usually doesnt drop untill active labor occurs or thats what i have read. i am in my 33rd week and boy this little girl couldnt be any higher

Mine dropped at week 29. It doesn't always mean labor is around the corner.Just means more pain.:)

I dropped and then felt like she went back up but definatly dropped low now 37 weeks. Wish it meant labour is coming but don't think it does :-(

My first didnt drop until I was in labor this one dropped at 30 weeks. I'm now 33 weeks.

Nope he dropped at 30 weeks and I am 36 and he is still cookin lol.

I thought my little man dropped at 36ish but at my 38w appt my doc said that he had not and that he was just little enough he wasnt high... Now Im 39w (tomorrow) and I think he is still high...

My first dropped at 34weeks and I visit have him till 40+5... But this time im 37 and still nothing, midwife told me bubs probably wouldnt till labour so im not worried :-)
